un Projects

un Projects is a collective based in Australia that aims to generate independent and critical dialogue around contemporary art, primarily through publishing projects. With a focus on artists, writers and independent practice, un Projects publishes essays, artists’ work and reviews, in print and online. Their flagship publication is un Magazine , founded in 2004 by Melbourne artist Lily Hibberd and published bi-annually with a newly appointed editor each year. As part of the Kadist magazine residency, editorial board members Phip Murray, Rosemary Forde and Brad Haylock will launch the latest issue of un Magazine and undertake research towards new publishing streams that will open un Projects’ editorial scope and networks internationally. Phip Murray is an independent writer and a History/Theory lecturer in the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University. Phip has previously worked as director of the contemporary art space West Space (Melbourne, 2008-12) and as an associate producer for the Next Wave Festival (Melbourne, 2006-08). Phip edited un Magazine in 2009 and has been chair of the un Projects board since 2012. Rosemary Forde is a writer and curator. She is a past editor of un Magazine and has been on the editorial board since 2010.
