Artist Talk: Moshekwa Langa
Thursday, September 22 at 7pm Artist Talk: Moshekwa Langa At Kadist’s Offices 19bis, rue des trois frères, 75018 Paris Currently in residency at the Cité des Arts in Paris, Moshekwa Langa is one of the two protagonists of the exhibition “Corner of the Eye”, with artist Nora Schultz, opening at Kadist on October 22. He will speak about his artistic practice and his recent works which incorporate taking traces of a landscape by dragging canvas and other fabrics through gravel roads to make impressions of his once home and make literal landscape drawings. Moshekwa Langa’s work— gouaches, collages, photographs, installations, and videos, echo his daily experiences and his upbringing in the remote town of Bakenberg, SA.
