experimentalSociété Anonyme: Week 3 February 18 – 24, 2008 Sunday, February 24, at 8 p.m sharp A dinner with… Emily Pethick (former director of Casco Office for Art, Design and Theory, Utrecht and future director of The Showroom in London). “Société Anonyme” invites you to a dinner followed by a collective conversation with Emily Pethick, involving the different ways to define a contemporary art institution today. Casco Office for Art, Design and Theory is defined as an experimental platform, whose aim is to explore art in the public realm, questioning the relation between art and its physical, social and political environment. Referring to Emily Pethick’s experience, this evening’s conversation will focus on the relationship that an institution wants to establish wth an audience and the influence the context can have on a programme. Are the choices made by individuals or by collective reflection ? While Emily Pethick is currently in between institutions, this dinner will allow to retrospect on the work achieved and to exchange on the ideas to come.
