Online Event: Ana María Montenegro and Manuel Correa in conversation
On the occasion of Human Rights Day, join us on Instagram live for a conversation between artists Manuel Correa and Ana María Montenegro, whose work deal with the history of violence in Colombia. Correa’s film La Forma del Presente (The Shape on Now)(2018), traces the history of forced disappearance. Montenegro’s film Otra victoria así y estamos perdido (Another victory like this and we will be lost) (2020) examines the assassination of liberal politician Rafael Uribe Uribe in 1914 that still resonates in the systematic violence against social leaders in the country. The film is a sequel to her eponymous exhibition at Espacio Odeón in Bogotá, Colombia this year. Both films will be available to view on Thursday, December 10, 10 am (PST) for 24 hours.
