Iheanyi Onwuegbucha


In the framework of the KADIST Curatorial Collaboration with the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos (Nigeria), curator Iheanyi Onwuegbucha will be in residency in Paris in January 2019. Iheanyi Onwuegbucha is Associate Curator at the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Lagos and founder of e-museum.org, a virtual museum project. He holds a BA and MA degrees in Fine and Applied Arts and Art History respectively from the University of Nigeria and an MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Leeds. He is a 2016 Chevening Scholar. He was Curator of Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja and Festival Secretary and Curator of Life In My City Art Festival. His current curatorial and research interests include: inclusive virtual museums for Africa, and modern and contemporary African art with particular interest in female modernists from Africa and post-independence resistance art in African dictatorial regimes. His exhibition “LineGuage: Textual Imagery | Linear Allegories” is currently showing at CCA, Lagos.
