Collecting Matters - Rome

Kadist Art Foundation in collaboration with Nomas Foundation (Rome) and David Roberts Art Foundation (London), indicate notions of collection/collecting through an interdisciplinary fellowship. The participating students, from three international art postgraduate programs (Curating the Contemporary, London Metropolitan University & Whitechapel Gallery of London, Fine Arts Sandberg Istitut, Amsterdam NL, Design and Production of Visual Arts IUAV of Venice), and selected through a call promoted by the three foundations, have spent a one-week research period in Rome visiting museums, collections and cultural insitutions, interacting with curators, artists and directors. The aim of the workshop is to encourage new ways of thinking, sharing and producing knowledge about collections. Following the workshop, the students have the opportunity to produce a project under the supervision of the foundations’ teams.
