Silver Art Projects—a new artist residency program established by Silverstein Properties, the real estate development firm that was instrumental in the rebuilding of much of the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001—is looking to bring more artists to Lower Manhattan. On Wednesday, the firm announced its first open call for artists who will compete for studio spaces on the fiftieth floor of Three World Trade Center, in which they will be able to work for a period of eight months, starting in September.
