Li Ran: One Man, One Night
For one night only, Kadist Art Foundation presents three video artworks by Beijing-based artist, Li Ran. Through performance, installation, and video, Li’s practice mines the legacy and conflicts of modernism and its particular effects on Chinese culture. The exhibition One Man, One Night , recalls a stand-up comedy show: Li plays a starring role in order to portray, perform, satirize, and provoke—referencing post-colonial discourse, and employing a playful mockery of imperialism.
