Interventions by Sven Luetticken and Simon Sheikh
Saturday, June 14, at 11am: In relation to the exhibition “Like an Attali Report, but different”, the curator, Cosmin Costinas has invited Sven Luetticken and Simon Sheikh. Sven Luetticken is an art critic and historian. In 2004, he was granted the Price for the Art Criticism of the BKVB fund, Amsterdam. Lütticken teaches at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam and is editor for De Witte Raaf. He publishes regularly in (inter)national art magazines such as Jong Holland, Artforum, New Left Review, Afterimage, Texte zur Kunst, Camera Austria. Simon Sheikh is a curator and critic. He is Assistant Professor of Art Theory and a Coordinator of the Critical Studies Program, Malmö Art Academy in Sweden. Recent publications include the anthologies We are all Normal (with Katya Sander), Black Dog Publishing, London 2001, Knut Åsdam (monograph), Fine Arts Unternehmen, Zug, 2004, In the Place of the Public Sphere?, b_books, Berlin, 2005 and Capital (It Fails Us Now), b_books, Berlin, 2006.
