Hosted by Constance Lewallen in conversation with Mike Mandel, Kadist will present a selection of photographs and letters from Evidence, widely considered a seminal photo-conceptual project from 1977 by Mike Mandel and Larry Sultan. The result of a two-year research project, Evidence is comprised of photographs selected from corporate and institutional archives including government departments, the military, scientific research establishments, and law enforcement agencies. Intended as dispassionate record of experiments and other incidents, the photographs present something much stranger, and more difficult to define. Cocktails at 6pm, event at 7pm
