Victoria Razo is a freelance documentary photographer born in the Port of Veracruz, Mexico. Her work focuses on gender, human rights and migration issues, she currently works as a photojournalist for news agencies and has been published in numerous national and international media including National Geographic, CNN, The New York Times, NPR, Vogue, The Washignton Post, L.A. Times, Bloomberg, Gato Pardo, among others. During her career as a photojournalist she has received different awards and recognitions for her work, this year she was invited to be part of the campaign "Her For She" of the international brand Hershey's. In 2022 she was selected in the shortlist of Leica Oskar Barnack for her work on the Haitian migration crisis, and it was among the best photographs of the year by National Geographic magazine, she was part of the jury of the Investigative Journalism Award coordinated by the CEAPP Veracruz and was among the winners of the POY International, in 2021 she received second place in the portrait category of POY LATAM, and in 2021, 2020 and 2018 she won First Place in the Investigative Journalism Award granted by the CEAPP, in 2018 she was among the 100 Pictures of the Year according to TIME magazine. In 2017 he received the Gabriel García Márquez Award for the collective project "Buscadores en un país de desaparecidos." coordinated by Periodistas de a Pie. Razo has exhibited her work in different collective exhibitions like the COP28 in Dubai, the 4th Latin American Photo Festival at the Bronx Documentary Center in Bronx, NY stands out. Las Rejas de Chapultepec in Mexico City and Gruen Berlin Environmental Education Center in Berlin, Germany.
