Dexter Sinister

Dexter Sinister (David Reinfurt and Stuart Bailey) presented an animation about (and employing) their project Meta-the-difference-between-the-two-Font . Being simultaneously a computer-science instrument, a graphic design system, an artwork or an historical research project, their font project is difficult to categorize. It might be meta the difference between any two of these. The typeface was derived from Meta Font, a computer typography system programmed by Donald Knuth in 1979. Its five variables allow for endless variations, and so, wanting a logotype that suggests change and mutation (rather than the loyal corporate brand) Kadist worked with Dexter Sinister to make a version of their mtdbtt-font with the added dimension of time. The result is a Kadist logotype that changes everyday, just a little bit, over the course of 10 years.
