(photo courtesy the artist) Since mid-April, when war broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), intense fighting has taken a heavy toll on Sudan and its community members in more ways than one can count. Over the last several months, over 12,000 people have been killed and an estimated 6.3 million people displaced from their homes, according to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) .
